Administration Team
Jen Rosas Nichols - Director
Jen Rosas Nichols, originally from the Atlantic City area of New Jersey, has lived in Summit County since 2013. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K–5), a Director’s Certificate, and is Pyramid Certified, with 12 years of experience in early childhood education. Her roles have included Toddler Teacher, Preschool and Pre-K Teacher, Director of Curriculum, Assistant Director, and now Director. Jen’s interest in early education began with her background in elementary education, but she quickly became inspired by the critical brain development that occurs before age five. Witnessing the impact of those early years, she found purpose in supporting young children’s growth and development, a passion that continues to guide her leadership today.
Outside of Carriage House, Jen enjoys time with her family and dog and being outdoors, snowboarding, hiking, paddleboarding, reading, and soaking up mountain sun.
Jen Prim - Assistant Director
Jen Prim grew up in Denver and has lived in Summit County since 1996. She holds an Associate of General Studies from Colorado Mountain College and an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, and is Pyramid Certified. Jen began her career in early education in 2010 after substituting at a preschool in Denver, where she was drawn in by the "organized chaos" and quickly discovered her passion. Since then, she has served as an Assistant Teacher for one-year-olds, a Lead Pre-K Teacher, an Education Coordinator for four years, and an Assistant Director for two years.
Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking, skiing (both downhill and cross country), camping, live music, reading, and spending time with her family.
Alejandra Roman - Admin Assistant
Originally from Zacatecas, Mexico, Alejandra grew up in Eagle County—specifically the Vail/Avon area—and has called Summit County home for the past six years. She holds both her Early Childhood Education Director Certificate and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Alejandra brings 10 years of experience in early childhood education, including time as an Infant/Toddler Supervisor working with children ages 0–18 months and as an Administrative Assistant. Her passion for this field stems from a deep belief in the importance of the early years as the foundation of a child's future.
She finds it incredibly fulfilling to support children’s growth during such a critical stage—whether it’s helping them reach new milestones or fostering a love for learning. Alejandra is committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel encouraged and inspired to explore the world around them. Being part of their developmental journey continues to inspire her dedication to this work.
When she’s not at work, Alejandra enjoys working out and spending quality time with her family and friends.
