From our humble beginning in the basement of the Father Dyer Church to our current home, the Carriage House Early Learning Center on Valley Brook Road, has been a foundation for learning and play in Breckenridge for over 35 years. As a non-profit, community-focused childcare facility we value the continued support of our local families, community foundations, local government and many generous individuals. Through their guidance and support over the years, we have been successful in fulfilling our mission: dedicated to providing high-quality care and developmentally appropriate education while maintaining our commitment to Breckenridge and the surrounding communities adding to the wholesome growth of our children.

Being faced with hard economic times has been a challenge for most of us in our community. Everyone knows what it takes to build a community... whether it’s people coming together to help raise children, helping someone who is sick or perhaps giving a lending hand to your neighbor. The children who participate in our program reap the benefits of a curriculum based entirely upon their well being. We are committed to nurturing and shaping the lives of the children who will become future citizens and we take pride in the enormity of this undertaking.

In our unyielding effort to retain our exceptional teaching staff and continue to attentively guide our youth into the future, we need your help. The Board of Directors is currently preparing our 2009–2010 operating budget. It has been determined that we need to generate $32,000 to meet our financial goals in the coming year. Should our fundraising exceed the amount budgeted, we will be able to implement additional improvements to our aging facility, incorporate new program elements to our current curriculum and minimize future anticipated tuition increases.
